Geez life can never be simple for me can it?
Right now my mind feels like a big mixture of these few songs. If you wanna know how I feel then please listen. Oh and they're good songs too. <3

1. Imogen Heap- Loose Ends [link]

Okay... now I'm sure after you listened to some of those you were sitting there just like WTF? So I'll explain why each song describes the way i've been feeling lately.



1. I used to be best friends with this girl ever since 2nd grade.... but this year, and last summer I'll add, we'd been fighting and growing further and further apart from each other, so we stopped being friends. That's why that one stanza she repeats throughout the song really gets me. I feel like she took the words right out of my head. I also love how simple and calm this song can be and at the same time have intense moments where you can feel her emotions change. All in all, it's an amazing song... Imogen Heap never ceases to amaze me.

2. This kinda ties to the loss of one of my best friends again. I think this describes the after affects of loosing her and how it effected me. That one line, "And when a heart breaks, no it don't breakeven." Really gets me. When you loose someone (wether it be a lover, friend, or family member) it really affects you. It didn't really affect me very much at first. But later the fact that I wasn't going to hang out with her anymore, talk to her, or be friends with her again, hit me full on. And it really hurt. It left me aching for days.... and I'll admit I'm still trying to get over it. This song decribes almost perfectly how I felt... and still feel.

3. This song describes how at times..(and lately) I just felt like I needed to get away from everyone and everything. I love how it says to go to higher places. It almost makes me feel like he's saying, "Your better than all this and you can get through it. You'll get to a better place." It makes me feel really empowered. I don't think this song is angry at all either. (while most people probably think it is) I think it's just a guy, going through some stuff, and he's trying to get out of it so he yells and yells to make himself feel powerful and confident. Plus who doesn't love a good guitar solo?

4. I don't think I know anyone who doesn't like this song lol. Well except my mom and sister, they just make fun of it. It's made of epic win if you ask me. While most people think the lyrics are childish and random, I can see the deeper meaning behind them, and evertime I hear this song, I smile. The line in this song that I feel like describes me almost perfectly is, "I'd like to make myself believe, that planet Earth turns, slowly."
Basically he's trying to say that he wants himself to believe in slowing down time and savoring it all. That's exactly how I feel too.

5. Now your probably wondering why I picked this song, huh? Well I know at first it sounds like a really upbeat dance song, but if you listen to the lyrics, it's more than that. Madonna is saying how she just wants to get out there and be on her own, fulfill her dreams, and live. I love that about her, she's fearless. That's my dream too. As most of you already know, my dream is to move to New York City and live. Experience life to the fullest. I've lived in TN all my life, in a small town and I've always wanted to live in a big city like NYC. This song just gives me confidence and makes me feel fearless too. <3
